Another Circle K robbed in Barrie
Police say the suspect displayed what appeared to be a gun
Barrie police are investigating yet another robbery at a Circle K convenience store, the third one since Friday.
In this incident, police say a person entered the store on Marsellus Drive at Mapleton Avenue several times between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday looking for vaping products and was advised that ID would be needed to sell him the products. He told the employee that his mother would be attending to purchase the products for him.
Police say the suspect returned shortly after 6 p.m. and displayed what appeared to be a gun, then left the store with a quantity of vaping products.
The employee was not physically injured.
Although police have video surveillance footage of the suspect, he appears to be under 18 years of age, and police are unable to share the image under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The suspect is described as:
- male, black, approximatrely 5’10”
- wearing a large red winter coat, with fur around the hood
- wearing a black face mask with a yellow Nike logo on it

On Saturday, police arrested a man in his 30s of no-fixed-address and charged him with two counts of robbery in connection with hold-ups at a pair of Circle K convenience stores just hours apart, on Friday afternoon at Bayfield and Wellington Streets, and then early Saturday on Anne Street South near Cundles Road West.
In both robberies, police said the suspect was armed with an edged weapon.
