Clearview Ok’s Roxodus By-Law Change

Township Supporting Special By-Law Allowing Festival

A major Roxodus hurdle has been passed, now that Clearview Council has given the nod to some needed paperwork.

A special meeting was held in Clearview this afternoon, to review the Special Event Agreement and Temporary Use Zoning By-Law Amendment needed to hold the music festival at the aerodrome.

Council voted in support of the agreement, while the temporary use by-law is being supported for a two-year period. That opens the door for future similar events, but Clearview Mayor Doug Measures is taking a cautious approach. “The municipality, our residents and taxpayers need to know that Council’s decision today to permit the Roxodus event to proceed was made with great consideration of the safety and security of the community.: said Measures. “Our council will review the outcome of the 2019 event and make well-informed decisions on any future large festivals held in Clearview.”

Roxodus is expected to take over the Aerodrome on July 10th, for a four day music festival featuring the likes of Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Alice Cooper, Blondie, and much more.
