Listen to Kurt Cobain sing Hole's 'Celebrity Skin' in AI generated cover: A match made in grunge heaven or scary as heck?

Another AI-generated song and this one mashes up the two biggest names in grunge.

Someone has generated a clip of the late Kurt Cobain singing Hole's 1998 hit "Celebrity Skin."

Cobain's wife, Courtney Love, fronted Hole, and something about the song feels right but, oh, so entirely wrong.

Having a soulless machine imitate the voice of someone who expressed emotion through his voice is disturbing.

Although I must admit, they got Cobain's wailing scream down pretty well. It also matched up Cobains' vocals with Love's inflections in the song perfectly.

Im so conflicted.

In the YouTube description, poster FaustoX wrote

"Whoever is offended by this version, I really hope you understand that this is not a part of Kurt's or Courtney's official work," they added in a follow-up comment. "It has no other intention than to be an experiment, just like a more elaborate mashup, and they have no hidden motives."

The song has other fans divided aswell, with many thinking it sounds great, including hearing the cracks in his voice.

However, knowing it's not your grunge hero messes with the head.

Here's the AI Cover.

And here's the original Hole version.
