Wasaga Beach women charged with fraud, over $210,000 missing from business

OPP have charged a woman following a fraud investigation at a Collingwood business that began in February last year.

According to police, they received a complaint regarding a former employee who altered payroll data so funds could be deposited into her account.

Police allege over approximately three years the suspect defrauded more than $210,000 from the business, though the funds were only recently discovered missing.

The accused has been charged with one count of fraud over $5000.

Her court date is set for next month in Collingwood.
