Collingwood Man Airlifted Following Firearm Incident

Police Haven't Specified How Gun Went Off

A Collingwood man is in hospital, after police say he was involved in a firearm-related incident early this morning.

The Simcoe County Paramedics, along with the OPP, were called out to a Second Street location minutes after midnight this morning, with reports of a man who was hurt as a result of a firearm going off. He was subsequently airlifted to Toronto with non-life threatening wounds.

While investigators haven’t specified how the gun went off, the OPP does say there is no concern for public safety. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collingwlld & Blue Mountains OPP at (705)445-4321.
