A man and a woman were seen by an eagle-eyed cop on Saturday who knew the pair were wanted on warrants in Collingwood.
They were arrested by the officer on the strength of the warrants. During the roadside investigation, police say they seized a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine and meth.
A search warrant was executed on a motel room in Collingwood, where investigators say they seized a firearm, an expandable baton, fentanyl, cocaine, meth and packaging material, as well as cash. The street value of the drugs was about $3,100.
A 40-year-old Collingwood woman has been charged with:
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purpose of trafficking
· Unauthorized Possession of a Non-Restricted Firearm
· Possession of a Weapon
· Possession of a firearm contrary to a Prohibition Order
A 29-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with:
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (methamphetamine) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl) for the purpose of trafficking
· Possession of Schedule IV Substance for the purpose of trafficking
· Unauthorized Possession of a Non-Restricted Firearm
· Possession of a Weapon
The accused were held in custody for a bail hearing and will appear in court at a future date.
