Planning has begun for November 20 parade

As we eagerly await positive news for increased gathering limits for outdoor events, Downtown Collingwood is moving forward with plans to present Collingwood’s Annual Santa Claus Parade.  Planning has begun … Santa has the date in his schedule …. And we remain hopeful that the return to this annual tradition will be possible.

As in previous years, the parade will be held in the early evening to capture all the magic of our downtown holiday lights.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 20, beginning at 5 p.m., and plan to join the fun!

This year’s parade will be part of a very special day in Downtown Collingwood as we officially launch the holiday. Enjoy the many merchant Open Houses, visit with Santa’s Reindeer in Training, enjoy entertainment on the street and there is lots more, including the traditional “lighting” of the town Christmas Tree!

Now is the time to register your float with the committee.  There is no entry fee for community groups and non-profit organizations.  The commercial entry fee is just $50.00.

Another great way to get involved in the parade is through your financial support.  We want to make this year’s edition of the Santa Claus Parade bigger and better than ever.  We encourage every business to consider becoming involved… it’s a great way to promote your business as you assist in staging this important community tradition.

Complete details about the Santa Claus Parade are now available on the Collingwood Downtown website, at www.collingwooddowntown.com, or you may call 705-445-5595 for further information.
