Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP arrested and charged a driver of a stolen vehicle with multiple offences.
OPP say on Monday around 2:30 p.m., they responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in a retail complex on Mountain Road.
"When police approached the vehicle in the parking lot, the driver fled at a high rate of speed," officers wrote in a release on Tuesday.
"Due to public safety concerns, police did not attempt to pursue the vehicle."
Police located the vehicle close by in a residential area.
"The driver had crashed into a curb and fled from the scene," officers said. "After a short foot pursuit, the driver was located and arrested."
