One person killed in collision with train in Gravenhurst

OPP upgrade charges after driver dies of injuries in Highway 12 crash near Gambridge

Provincial police say a person has been killed in a collision with a CN freight train in Gravenhurst.

The collision involved a vehicle at a railway crossing on Jones Road at Winhara Road early Wednesday afternoon.

In a post on X, OPP said Winhara Road was closed between Bethune Drive and Jones Road for the investigation.

Police say the driver of the pickup truck who was killed is a 55-year-old Bracebridge resident.
