UPDATE:
Southern Georgian Bay OPP made an arrest and laid charges in connection to a fail-to-remain collision involving a pedestrian over the weekend in Midland.
Around 3:20 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the collision in the parking lot of a convenience store on Midland Avenue.
OPP say the suspect vehicle and the pedestrian fled the scene before they arrived.

A 25-year-old Midland man was arrested on Sunday evening, police said in a release on Monday.
He faces the following charges:
- Attempt to Commit Murder
- Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
- Fail to stop at accident resulting in bodily harm
He was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled for court at a future date.
OPP said the pedestrian was also located and is receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained in the collision.

A fail-to-remain collision in Midland in which the driver and the pedestrian who was hit fled the scene is being investigated by Ontario Provincial Police.
Around 3:20 on Saturday, officers reponded to the collision in the parking lot of a convenience store on Midland Avenue.
Police believe the involved vehicle was a white Dodge pickup truck. They believe the pedestrian who was hit suffered significant injuries that likely need medical treatment.
Investigators would like to talk to members of the community who may know the driver of the truck.
