Colts Take The Fall In Ottawa

Lose third in a row

The Barrie Colts fell to 2 and 4 on the season after a 4-3 loss Saturday afternoon in Ottawa.

The 67s fired 22 shots at Colts’ goalie Maksim Zhukov in the 1st period. Just two would find the twine. Ben Hawerchuk answered for the Colts – his 4th goal of the season.

Lucas Chiodo tied the score early in the 2nd with his 5th goal of the season; Ottawa would restore a two-goal lead before the period was done.

A shorthanded goal by Matej Pekar – his 5th of the campaign – evened the score early in the 3rd period.

Then, with just under five minutes to play, Ottawa took the lead for good.

The Colts have a date in Kingston Sunday afternoon. It was the Frontenacs who ended their playoff run last season with a six-game 2nd round series win.
