Colts Take The Fall In Ottawa

Lose third in a row

The Barrie Colts fell to 2 and 4 on the season after a 4-3 loss Saturday afternoon in Ottawa.

The 67s fired¬†22 shots at Colts’ goalie Maksim Zhukov in the 1st period. Just two would find the twine. Ben Hawerchuk answered for the Colts – his 4th goal of the season.

Lucas Chiodo tied the score early in the 2nd with his 5th goal of the season; Ottawa would restore a two-goal lead before the period was done.

A shorthanded goal by Matej Pekar – his 5th of the campaign – evened the score early in the 3rd period.

Then, with just under five minutes to play, Ottawa took the lead for good.

The Colts have a date in Kingston Sunday afternoon. It was the Frontenacs who ended their playoff run last season with a six-game 2nd round series win.
