Barrie-Area MPPs Attend Q&A With Parents of Children With Autism

Both Barrie-area MPPs were in the south end of the city today, as part of a Q&A with concerned parents over the Ontario Autism Program.

Both Barrie-Innisfil’s Andrea Khanjin and Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte’s Doug Downey didn’t do much speaking; the pair mostly listened as parent after parent took to the mic and let them know why they’re worried.

The Question and Answer period was hosted by IBI Behavioural Services in south Barrie, a facility dedicated to the autism therapy many parents told the MPPs is vital and cannot be afforded without appropriate government assistance.
