Cops On The Hunt for Knife-Wielding Convenience Store Thief

Suspect Caught on Camera

The search is on for a masked man wanted in connection to an armed holdup in Barrie.

Barrie Police say the theft happened around 1:00 Saturday morning at a convenience store in a plaza at Little and Bayview; the bad guy allegedly went into the store, showed off a knife, and demanded the cash register be opened. A grocery bag was filled with packs of cigarettes too, before the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • Approximately 5’6” tall, thin-build
  • Thick, dark eyebrows
  • Wearing a light grey zip-front hooded sweatshirt, black “Puma” track pants, brown boots and a dark face covering with white (upside down) letters on it
