Cops Seeking Several Festive Thieves
Two Separate Thefts With Suspects Caught on Camera
Looks like a few folks were getting some Christmas shopping done… too bad they forgot to pay!
Barrie Police are on the hunt for several suspects after a pair of thefts of late.
First up is a man, appearing to be in his 20’s or 30’s, who police say went into the north end Walmart on Saturday afternoon to steal about $300 worth of video games. He was stopped by store security, and while police say he did return the stolen goods, the suspect was able to get away nonetheless.
The suspect is described as:
- Male
- white
- 25 to 35 years old
- Approximately 5’10” tall
- Wearing a grey and blue hooded sweatshirt, a grey baseball cap and blue jeans
- Brown moustache and goatee
Then there’s the pair wanted in connection to a stolen laptop. Barrie Police say the two went into a Little Ave. pawn shop Monday evening in an attempt to pawn several power tools. The duo didn’t have the proper ID to do so, but remained to browse a bit. Review of security footage reportedly revealed the two had stolen a laptop while no one was looking.
The suspects are described as:
First suspect
- Male
- white
- 5’8” to 5’10” tall
- 25 to 30 years old
- Wearing a black toque, black jacket and blue jeans
Second suspect
- Female
- white
- Approximately 5’4” tall
- Approximately 25 years old
- Long brown hair
- Wearing a black jacket and blue jeans
