With continued response to clean up the significant amount of brush caused by the ice storm that hit parts of our region in March, the County of Simcoe continues to provide service to support our residents and communities.
To date, since the start of the ice storm the County has amassed nearly 13,000 tonnes of brush material collected, which is over triple the amount that the County usually processes in an entire year.

Update on Waste Drop-off Sites:
- The County waived brush drop-off fees at all County waste facilities until the end of May and is now extending this until the end of June. Dropping off brush at one of these locations is the fastest way for residents to clear debris off their property.
- Additionally, the County opened three temporary drop-off sites for brush only operating from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.:
- Innisfil site – extended until May 17th
- Midhurst site - will close following May 10th
- Coldwater site – closed as of May 4th
