Serious two-vehicle crash on Highway 118 East in Bracebridge

OPP upgrade charges after driver dies of injuries in Highway 12 crash near Gambridge

Provincial police continue to investigate a two-vehicle crash that happened on Highway 118 East in Bracebridge that left one person with life-altering injuries.

OPP say the collision happened around 5:15 p.m on Wednesday near Thompson Road.

The driver of one of the vehicles was cut from the wreckage by Bracebridge firefighters and then transported to a local hospital before being taken to a Toronto hospital in serious condition. The driver of the other vehilce was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Highway 118 East was closed for several hours.
