Curio Exploration Hub

A children’s museum with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, art and math.

Curio Exploration Hub is where children go to wonder. The children's museum in Barrie helps further science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics learning.

The 4000 square foot, Madison Taylor designed, space is the brainchild of Stephanie Stoute. "The idea came from travelling in the United States, when I visited a similar children's museum. I thought it was a great idea for Barrie."

Stoute had planned on opening in April but COVID-19 restrictions forced her to halt construction.

"I wanted to create a place kids could play and learn at the same time," Stoute said.

Stoute is a graduate of the Starter Company Plus training program, offered through the Small Business Centre. "I went there first, and now we're here ... and we're finally open."
