
UPDATE: Police say the driver of the vehicle saw a Barrie police tweet about the incident and did show up at their headquarters on Tuesday.
A spokesperson says there was a charge laid under the Highway Traffic Act.

Barrie police are seeking the driver of a vehicle they say struck a cyclist and then fled the scene.
Police say this happened around 8:10 a.m. on Monday at Barrie North Collegiate on Grove Street.
They say the driver did get out of the vehicle to check on the teen before leaving.
The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the driver of the vehicle is a male, between 50–60 years old with grey hair, and there was also a medium-sized dog with brown fur in the car.
The vehicle is described as Mazda CX-5.
