Cyclist killed in Collingwood area collision

Update Monday, Aug 15, 11:00 am:

OPP say the cyclist who was killed last week in a collision on Scenic Caves Road in The Blue Mountains has been identified as 33-year-old Jeffery Miller of Richmond Hill.

Collingwood OPP, along with the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit, are continuing their investigation into the crash.

A cyclist was killed in a collision on Scenic Caves Road in The Blue Mountains.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to the scene around 6 p.m. on Thursday.

Police say the cyclist was coming down the road and lost control of the bicycle which led to the crash. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.

No name has been released.

The road was closed for five hours.
