There's no question that Dave Bautista has added several stand-out acting roles to his resume, but there's one type of role he can't break into, and that's the rom-com.
The former Wrestler turned actor says he sometimes wonders if he's not attractive enough to appear in romantic comedies.
In an interview with Page Six, he opened up about finding it hard to break into the genre.
"I know I'm not your typical rom-com lead. I'm a little rough around the edges. I look in the mirror, and I ask myself: 'Am I that unattractive? Is there something that unappealing about me that excludes me from these parts?'"
He adds that he still has high hopes and will keep trying.
Bautista has made amazing strides in his acting career, going from action comedy like Drax in "Guardians of the Galaxy, " to a small but serious role such as Sapper Morton in "Blade Runner 2049."
He recently appeared as Duke Cody in "The Glass Onion: A Knives out mystery," which put him in the spotlight with an A-List cast. In it, he proved he can be a muscular doofus who is oddly sweet and serious.
His latest role is in M Night Shyamalan's horror film "Knock at the Cabin," which is his first lead.
A recent poll asked who they thought was the best Wrestler turned actor between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson", John Cena, and Dave Bautista.
While "The Rock" and John Cena are great, Dave Bautista was the popular opinion due to his acting range and work with prominent directors.
