Deadly crash on Highway 11 being investigated by OPP
A 59-year-old Gravenhurst man was killed
Highway 11 was closed for several hours as Bracebridge OPP investigated a deadly crash in the northbound lanes north of Washago that was followed up with another collision nearby in the southbound lanes.
Police say a transport truck and tractor collided in the northbound lanes on Thursday morning, then several vehicles crashed nearby in the southbound lanes.
The driver of the tractor, a 59-year-old Norman Brandt of Gravenhurst, was pronounced dead at the scene. The transport driver sustained minor injuries.

The crash in the southbound lanes resulted in one of the drivers being cut from the wreckage and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into both crashes continues.
