Dine inside a bubble under the stars at Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka

Enjoy a picturesque night out with your bubble, in a bubble.

An ingenious space in Barrie is allowing those with compromised immune systems to enjoy a rare night out. Gilda's Club Simcoe Muskoka has transformed its private courtyard into a picturesque, cozy, and safe outdoor dining experience.

"If you've ever wondered what it's like to be in a snow globe, this is your chance," says Executive Director Aaron Lutes. "We've provided a bubble for your bubble to give you a chance to enjoy a night out."

"Many of our members haven't left their homes since March because they are immune-compromised, so this was an idea to get them outside for a night out, but in a safe way," says Lutes.

"We are open for bookings, we have fully accessible and totally sanitized washrooms, everything inside and outside is completely cleaned from head to toe."

While most evenings will be reserved for Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka members, volunteers, donors and supporters, Lutes says a few evenings will be available for auction.

"I might have a soft spot for someone looking to have a special space to pop the question or celebrate an anniversary," added Lutes.
