A New York City woman and her pet pigeon are getting a lot of attention for their sweet bond.
26-year-old Abby Jardine and her buddy Pidge have a massive following on TikTok, and it's easy to see why.
Pidge isn't your everyday pigeon. She's laid-back, loves snuggling, is potty trained, carried around in a purse, and takes regular baths.
I'm just out here making pigeon propaganda until their bad PR improves, says Jardine, who found her feathered friend in May 2023.

In an interview with the New York Post, she explained, "I found her scared and alone by some trash near my apartment at three weeks old. She was just a baby, couldn't fly and shouldn't have been out of the nest."

The bird was taken to an animal rehabilitation centre, and soon after, Jardine adopted her.
"I did know that pigeons can be domesticated. When I saw how cute and friendly she was, I knew she was my forever baby," she says.
Now Pidge is living the posh life, being taken to restaurants and spending days in the city, followed by lots of quiet snuggles.
She also gets plenty of exercise.
