Driver charged with impaired after crash into guardrail on Highway 11

Police say the vehicle lost a wheel on impact and entered a ditch

A 35-year-old Severn Township woman has been charged with impaired driving after OPP say a vehicle plowed into a guardrail on Highway 11 in Oro-Medonte.

It happened just before 9:30 on Monday evening.

Police say upon impact with the guardrail, the vehicle lost a wheel and crashed into a ditch.

The driver was transported to a neighbouring police service for further investigation.

Her driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days and her vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
