Holy speed demon on Highway 400

Someone was in a hurry.

Orillia OPP say an officer was conducting speed enforcement on Highway 400 in Oro-Medonte Township around 11:30 Wednesday morning when a northbound vehicle was clocked travelling 193 km/h, nearly double the posted speed limit.

A 21-year-old from Bancroft was charged with speeding and stunt driving.

The vehicle was impounded, and the person's licence was suspended.
