A Richmond Hill man is facing stunt driving and speeding charges after South Simcoe Police stopped a driver they said was travelling 157 km/h in an 80 km/h zone in Innisfil.

The vehicle was stopped on October 10 on Big Bay Point Road in the Town of Innisfil.

The driver was charged with stunt driving and speeding. His driver's licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.

Police say the incident serves as another reminder of the dangers associated with excessive speed on local roads and urges drivers to slow down, obey posted speed limits and help keep roads safe for everyone.
