Hospitalized driver facing charges after house struck by car in north Barrie

None of the home's occupants were hurt

A man will answer to a charge of impaired driving after a vehicle struck a house in north Barrie on Monday.

A 25-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre for treatment, following the collision on Cundles Road near Janine Street around 9 a.m. Monday.

Barrie Police spokesperson Peter Leon confirmed the driver was charged, adding the roadway was expected to be closed for much of Monday afternoon for damage assessment.

No one in the home was hurt in the incident.
