Driver killed in single-vehicle crash near Waverly

Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a deadly single-vehicle crash that happened in Tiny Township, near Waverly.

At around 6:53 p.m. on Wednesday, police say they were alerted about a vehicle that crashed into the north ditch on County Road 27 just west of the intersection of French Road and Old Second Road North.

The driver has been identified as a 31-year-old man from Tay Township.

Investigators ask that anyone who may have witnessed the actions of the involved vehicle, a white Mini Cooper while east bound on Simcoe County Road 27 prior to the crash or of the crash itself or has dashcam video to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or opp.southern.georgian.bay@opp.ca.
