Snow plow operators have a job to do, but a motorist travelling on Highway 407 late Tuesday morning was not in the mood to wait behind them.
OPP shared a video to X of a van travelling at high speed and then slamming into a snow plow in what appears to be an attempt to drive around them.
There were at least six plows taking up all lanes of the highway at the time.
The vehicle spins out and ends up in front of the plow it crashed into.
Drive responsibly and be prepared for changing road and weather conditions. #OnStorm

There were no injuries reported.
Later, OPP posted on X reminding motorists they can face a $325 fine if they are caught overtaking snow plows working in formation on multi-lane highways that have a posted speed limit of 80 km/hr or more.
Drivers must not overtake snow plows working in echelon formation on multi-lane highways, with a posted speed limit of 80 km/hr or more unless the lane that is used to overtake the snow plow is entirely clear of any part of the snowplow.
