Two other occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital
A motorist who slammed into a hydro pole on Bradford Street shortly after 12 noon on Thursday did not stick around.
Barrie police spokesman Peter Leon told Barrie 360 the motorist fled on foot.
But two passengers in the van were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
