A tip from the public led Orillia OPP to track down a suspected impaired driver in Severn Township.
Police said the caller reported a vehicle displaying signs of erratic driving on Osprey Lane around 11:30 Tuesday night. Officers located the vehicle and charged a 36-year-old Oro-Medonte woman with impaired driving and driving with liquor readily available.
According to OPP, the woman blew two times over the legal limit.
Meanwhile, a single-vehicle collision in Springwater Township around 6 p.m. on Monday ended with charges for a 26-year-old male driver from Barrie.
Police say the collision happened on Snow Valley Road west of Bayfield Street North.
The motorist was charged with impaired and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act for being a novice driver with a blood alcohol content above zero.
