A 23-year-old from Etobicoke is facing drug charges and other offences after South Simcoe Police (SSP) responded to a single-vehicle crash in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Around 12:27 p.m. on Monday, police say a BMW was travelling southbound on Tornado Drive from Canal Road when it rolled into ditch.
When officers arrived, they found the driver uninjured.
However, they did sniff a strong odour of cannabis coming from the vehicle. During the investigation, they located various packages of suspected marijuana in the car. The driver was arrested for drug offences, including possession of suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl, and suspected oxycodone.
The suspect was also charged with driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and careless driving.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
