Drug charges against an Orillia man following search warrant

Provincial police executed a search warrant early Wednesday at a Barrie Road address in Orillia where an individual was taken into custody and drugs were seized.

Police said they found 18 grams of cocaine, prescription medication, $600 in Canadian currency, digital scales and packaging, and a cell phone.

An Orillia man, age 67, is facing the following charges:

·        Possession for the purpose of trafficking - Cocaine

·        Possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000

·        Possession of property obtained by crime - under $5,000

The accused has a November court date.
