Drug impaired crash Monday in Cookstown
No injuries were reported
A motorist has been charged with drug impaired driving following a crash in Cookstown Monday morning, on Queen Street just west of King Street.
Around 9:15 a.m., South Simcoe Police said a car travelling eastbound on Queen crossed the road and slammed into a parked vehicle.
The motorist was arrested and taken to the police station for examination by a Drug Recognition Expert.
As a result, a 22 year old Midland man was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving and fail to comply with demand.
The guy had his licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for a week.
