Drug trafficking investigation in Alliston leads to arrest and five charges

The Nottawasaga OPP has charged a 39-year-old relating to a drug trafficking investigation in Alliston. 

Police say the arrest happened on March 1, following the execution of a search warrant at a Victoria Street home. 

According to police, they seized approximately 33 grams of cocaine, 10 oxycodone pills, $4,850, three cell phones, a switchblade, items used for packaging/scale and 12 assorted weapons.

The investigation was a joint effort with Collingwood OPP. 

The New Tecumseth man was charged with:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
  • Trafficking Schedule 1 substance - Cocaine
  • Trafficking Schedule 1 substance - Other Drugs
  • Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
  • Possession of proceeds of Property obtained by crime under $5000.00.

The man will appear in court on April 11.
