Cocaine and guns were seized by Collingwood & Blue Mountains OPP and a man was arrested as part of a long drug trafficking investigation.
"Several months ago, members of the Collingwood CSCU began an investigation into cocaine trafficking in Collingwood and the surrounding communities," OPP stated in a release.
"On December 11, 2023, members of the Collingwood Det CSCU stopped the accused in his vehicle and arrested him."
OPP then conducted search warrants at three Collingwood locations. Police say they seized a large quantity of cocaine, a shotgun, a handgun, ammunition, an imitation firearm, an expandable baton, and a stolen Motorola radio.
A 43-year-old Collingwood man has been charged with:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of a Firearm contrary to a Prohibition order
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime
He is scheduled to appear in court at a future date.
