An e-bike operator was sent to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Tiny Township last evening.

Just after 6:30 p.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP were dispatched, along with Simcoe County Paramedics, to an address on Concession 19 East.

"On arrival, bystanders were providing life-saving measures to the injured party who was then transported to a local hospital," OPP said in a release on Sunday.

"Officers investigating the incident learned that the person involved in the collision, a 67 year-old-male from Tiny Township, was operating an e-bike on a private property during a family gathering when he fell to the ground. There were no other vehicles involved."

Police say due to the severity of the injuries, the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit (TTCI) attended the scene to investigate.

OPP say the cause of the crash hasn't been determined.
