Early move to Step Two of Ontario’s reopening plan being discussed

Step Two is not scheduled to come into play until July 2

It’s not supposed to happen until July 2, but Premier Doug Ford says he will be discussing an early move into Step Two of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and the health table.

Some mayors have been asking about it, with COVID numbers improving day by day. So have business owners that would be allowed to open under Step Two guidelines, including barbers, hairstylists, and other personal care providers.

The province entered Step One of the reopening framework on June 11. Under the Ford government’s plan, the province would stay in Step 1 for at least 21 days before advancing to Step Two.
