Jeremy Allen White and Zac Efron are opening up about the intense physical transformation they underwent for their new film "The Iron Claw."
In an upcoming biographical film, the two star as real-life brothers and wrestlers Kerry and Kevin Von Erich.
To get physically ready for the role of Kerry, White says he just ate as much as he could to consume calories and try bulking up.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, White said he cut out all cardio and focused on lifting heavy, which he says was tough since he loves to run.

However, the wardrobe was one of the hardest things to get used to.
The film takes place in the 70's and 80's, so there are a lot of cut-off jeans, shorts, sleeveless T-shirts and either puffy or bowl-cut hair.
Efron, who plays Kevin Von Erich, echoed the same sentiment about fashion.

"It was shocking at every point of the transformation. I remember Harris Dickinson and I were walking out of hair and make-up, and it was like the first time we had to wear the full kit, and we were both thinking, 'What the hell are we doing here, man? How did we get into this?'"
He added, "The hair and make-up team was epic."
As for his athletic transformation, Efron told the outlet he drew inspiration from the real-life Kevin Von Erich.
"The physicality he brought to the ring every single day was really unique. It changed wrestling. I knew that would be the hardest thing for me to master and get right. So, I put everything I had into it."
Iron Claw is the real-life story of the pro wrestling dynasty, the Von Erich family.
It's in theatres on December 22.
