There were no injuries reported after Barrie fire crews made quick work of a blaze at a homeless encampment in the area of Victoria Street.

Crews got the call around 6:45 Wednesday evening.

A fire department spokesperson told Barrie 360 there were some pops heard, likely from small propane cannisters, something he said is not uncommon in those situations.

He added the fire erupted in a small structure.

There is no cause for the blaze.
