No injuries were reported after South Simcoe Police say they received a complaint of an erratic driver during the Innisfil Santa Claus parade at the weekend.

Police say a grey Audi SUV tried to join the parade route but was denied.

"Later, police say the vehicle was seen driving in the Shoppers Drug Mart and Scotiabank Plaza. They say that when the driver realized they couldn’t get out of the parking lot onto Innisfil Beach Road because the parade was there, the vehicle was seen jumping the curb and driving through a pedestrian walkway south of the plaza before getting back onto the road and driving along Jans Boulevard," police said in a news release.

They say the investigation is ongoing and are looking for the public’s assistance.

Anyone with information or photos of the vehicle or incident is asked to call the police.
