Provincial police made a massive drug seizure on Friday in Essa, which led to the arrest of two quinquagenarians.
Nottawasaga OPP say its street crime unit and that of the Collingwood and Huronia West detachments executed search warrants at two separate residences. The searches come as a result of a drug trafficking investigation which began earlier this month.
Officers wound up seizing 201 grams of cocaine, 463 Oxycodone pills, six grams of fentanyl, 1.1 grams of methamphetamine, $39,615 in Canadian currency, three imitation firearms, various firearm ammunitions, and digital scales and packaging.
Each suspect, 51-year-old and 57-year-olds from Angus, were charged with possessing cocaine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking.
The younger suspect was additionally given the same charge but for methamphetamine possession and another for possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order. the older suspect's other charge for possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Both were released with a future court date at in Bradford.
