Fail to remain crash in Innisfil Sunday results in drug and impaired charges

South Simcoe Police thank the public for their calls about the collision

A 22 year old Mississauga woman has a bunch of charges to deal with and is minus a vehicle and her driver’s licence for a period of time following a fail to remain collision in Innisfil.

South Simcoe Police said motorists alerted them to the crash around 5:30 Sunday morning on St. John’s Road.

A female was arrested near the scene for impaired operation of a vehicle and taken to the cop shop where breath tests resulted in readings over the legal limit.

She has been charged with impaired driving, drug possession (suspected cocaine) and fail to remain at the scene of a collision.

Her licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for seven days.
