Fatal Car Crash Midland

Southern Georgian Bay OPP says a Tiny Township man is dead after a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Midland.

Officers responded around 7:00 a.m., after a construction worker located the vehicle that had left Fuller Avenue and crashed down the embankment towards Bayport Boulevard coming to rest on the edge of the construction site.

OPP says the driver was extracted from the vehicle by fire crew, and paramedics attended to triage him.

Police say the lone occupant - 76-year-old Neil Barry McQuade - was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Members of the OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Investigation Unit are assisting in the investigation as to the cause of the crash.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam video is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or opp.southern.georgian.bay@opp.ca.
