Federal offender known to frequent Barrie, Simcoe County arrested

A federal offender known to frequent Barrie, Midland and Collingwood has been taken into custody by the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad.

29 year old Edward Harrod was wanted for breach of his statutory release.

He was arrested in Kingston.

Harrod is serving a two-year and eight-month sentence for robbery, theft under $5,000, flight from a peace officer, operating a vehicle while prohibited, assault with intent to resist arrest and possession of a narcotic.
