Have you really done all of your Christmas shopping? Maybe for the human family in your life, but what about your furry kids?
Rover-dot-com survey found 67 per cent of Canadians with cats as pets will be buying kitty gifts this holiday season, while 80 per cent of those who have a dog said they will be shopping for the canine or canine’s in their life.
When it comes to how much to spend on your pets, the survey said the going rate was $25 for a gift.
Toys are the must-have presents at 51 per cent, while 31 per cent of people said they will be buying treats for their pets. Third on the list, for fashion conscious cats and dogs, are booties and sweaters. One in five pets will receive more gifts than members of their human family.
When the stockings are hung by the chimney with care, there should be a stocking for Fido and Fluffy right there. Two-thirds of pet people have a stocking for their pets.
The survey also found the majority of pet shopping people will buy online.
