Southern Georgian Bay OPP has arrested a man in connection to a suspicious fire in Penetanguishene on Monday.
Officers had been seeking a 43-year-old from Penetanguishene, saying there were concerns for his well-being. However, he was named a suspect in connection to the blaze on Friday.
Shortly after he was named, a uniformed officer was conducting patrol duties in Midland when they located the man outside a County Road 93 shopping centre. Police say he was arrested without incident.
He is facing two arson charges, which include disregard for human life and damage to property. A bail hearing is set for Saturday.

Fire crews responded to an apartment building on Poyntz Street around 7 a.m. where the blaze began on the complex's third floor. The fire reportedly began around 5 a.m.
As firefighters extinguished the blaze, police assisted in evacuating the residents.
There was extensive damage to one apartment. All residents, with the exception of those from the affected unit, have since returned to their homes.
