Barrie police have released surveillance video of an individual on the Mary Street side of a magic mushroom shop downtown as flames shoot from the interior of Shroomyz, located on Dunlop Street West.
Police say the incident is being treated as a suspected arson.
Investigators are also trying to identify a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspect.
Fire Chief Kevin White told Barrie 360 the blaze was called in shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
There is an upstairs apartment, but the premise was searched and nobody was found.
It's believed, the occupant was away, according to White.
The Ontario Fire Marshal is assisting with the investigation.
