Fire officials say a blaze that occurred in a room on the main floor at St. Theresa's Catholic High School in Midland is not considered suspicious.
Firefighters were called to the scene around 6:30 Saturday morning.
Deputy Chief Don Hebner, in an email to Barrie, 360, said the fire was contained to one room on the main floor at the north end of the school, and it is not considered suspicious, though the investigation continues.
"The sprinkler system successfully contained and extinguished the fire," Hebner added in his email.
As a result of smoke and water damage, the high school will be closed for the week of May 19 - 22, as cleanup and restoration efforts continue.
