Vehicle fire damages two cars at Midland shopping centre

Emergency crews responded to a vehicle fire at a shopping centre parking lot along Highway 12 in Midland on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. after a vehicle caught fire.

The fire spread from the original vehicle to a nearby parked car before fire crews were able to bring the flames under control.

No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire is believed to be mechanical in nature.
